WHAT “10×10” MEANS
A standard yardstick, so the price compares like-for-like.
Cabinet companies advertise against a 10′×10′ kitchen: two 10-foot walls meeting in an L. It gives you a fair comparison between offers. Your quote is then built from your own room.

- Bigger or different layout? Galleys, U-shapes and islands are priced from your measurements.
- Appliances and decor are excluded from every package.

1 · WALLS
Measure each wall
Corner to corner, in inches, at counter height. Note which walls get cabinets.
2 · OPENINGS
Mark windows and doors
Width of each opening, its distance from the nearest corner, and the window sill height.
3 · UTILITIES
Locate the sink and appliances
Center of the sink plumbing, plus the width of your range, refrigerator and dishwasher.
4 · HEIGHT
Measure floor to ceiling
This sets the size of the wall cabinets and whether crown molding fits.

3/4″ solid wood doors
Solid wood Shaker doors and drawer fronts, not thermofoil or MDF wrap.
11-ply plywood boxes
3/4″ plywood sides, tops, bottoms and shelves. No particleboard in the box.
Dovetailed drawers
5/8″ solid wood drawer boxes on full-extension, under-mount soft-close rails.
Stainless soft-close hinges
105° stainless steel hinges, chosen for South Florida humidity.
